Learning to Relax

by - October 21, 2013

One quality that I really don't quite like about myself is that I'm very high-strung. Little things stress me out, and make me feel uncomfortable and I start to get nervous and then all hell breaks loose and it's as if I'm having a panic attack.
So lately I've been trying to just take deep breaths and relax. Sort of take the world in as it is, if you will. Not the easiest task but something I figure needs to be done!
One way is to just take some me time, not be around other people or worry about school work. Just sit in my bed all snuggled up with a good book, or my laptop ( I just have to be careful of this since it is midterm season and my 30 min breaks can turn into 3 hour breaks with great ease).
I've also been treating myself to a few "pamper" moments.
I attempted to dye my hair dark red, it's more of a tint I'd say but I like it none the less (blog post soon to come on the process)
I treated myself to a few new bits and bobs when I went home for Thanksgiving, and went shopping with a friend.
And I went to an adorable restaurant for dinner with one of my best friends from University and just had a friend "date" and caught up and gossiped and did all the things we girls love to do!

All in all my last few weeks have been relatively stress and panic free, however I've now got midterms to worry about and assignments to finish and hand in and I'm going to have to remember to relax if I hope to get through it all.

I'm not sure what's going on with
this hairstyle, but I'm kind of in love
with it.
