Happy Wednesday Babes!

It has been absolute ages since I last wrote and uploaded a blog post, and not for the lack of trying. I cannot tell you how many half written drafts are currently in my queue, but whenever I finally got back around to finish them they were either past the point of uploading (like posts form Christmas) or I wasn't happy with the way they were turning out.
But in an effort to stick to some goals I've laid out this year, I am going to get back into the swing of things. One of the best and my favourite posts for me to write after I've been away awhile are my Wisdom Wednesday ones. They are easy to write, and they help to create motivation in my life and steer me in the right direction to leading a happy and positive lifestyle. They are also great for me in terms of coming back and rereading them later on, because sometimes I need to follow my own advice.
With that said, this weeks Wisdom Wednesday is a bit different than usual because I am going to be talking about a book that I'm reading. It is called Adventures For Your Soul by Shannon Kaiser. I ordered this book off of amazon a couple of weeks ago after deciding that 2016 was going to be a year of self-discovery. I'd heard such great things about the book and I wanted to see what all the fuss is about. I haven't read the whole thing yet, I'm really only on the 3rd chapter, but as I'm reading I continue to find so many great and relevant things that I relate to with each page.
One of my favourite quotes so far is this:
"Just like the characters of a movie, you are a character in the show called "Life". Are you in a starring role? Or are you a supporting actor?"

This really got me thinking about my life, and how I am currently living it, How I've been living it for the past 21 years. You see I think that in my own life I am a supporting actor. I am constantly putting other people and their needs and happiness before my own. Now I don't think that that is necessarily a bad thing, I enjoy making other people happy, that gives me pleasure. But I do think that there comes a time in your life where you need to focus on yourself, where you need to be a little bit selfish and put your needs and your happiness first. So on this path of self-discovery, I am going to work hard towards becoming the starring actor of my own life, and I would encourage all of you to do the same.

Much Love,
Spenser xx
