Once Upon A Time...| Wisdom Wednesday

by - October 12, 2016

Ah and once again I return to the blogging scene with another Wisdom Wednesday post. What can I say, I love giving myself advice that is disguised as advice for others. I'm more likely to take it that way I think.
Hopefully this will be an actual comeback in regards to this blog. I've really neglected it for the past few (well, many) months and I really do miss it. I won't make any promises, because we all know how well I've done at keeping those in the past, but I will say that I am really going to try!

Alright now that that's been cleared up, let's get into this weeks quote. One I stumbled across while browsing through Pinterest one day, and it really stuck with me.
"Once upon a time you were a little girl with big dreams that you promised you'd make real one day. Don't disappoint yourself."
You see when I was younger, my dreams were a bit all over the place. In fact in 2nd grade my dream job was to be a plumber (I kid you not that's all I wanted). However once I got over that idea, there was always one common theme to my dreams. I wanted to make people happy, and I wanted to help people. Didn't matter what it was I was doing, but to be able to bring happiness to someone's life was something I strived for.

When I went to university however I got so lost in what it was that I wanted to do. I had no idea how I was going to help anyone, I didn't even know how to help myself.
That's when I started YouTube, and that's when I started this blog. You see I've always loved YouTube as a platform. A place where you can be anyone, or anything. A place where you can be yourself if that's what you wanted. And I've witnessed first hand how a video can put a smile on someones face if they are having a bad day, or how they can make people feel at ease in times of stress or trouble. I've never had a huge amount of subscribers, and that's never really been my sole purpose of making videos and writing blog posts. But to know that at least one person's day could be made better because of something I post, that means the world to me.

Which is why I want to be clear and open about my dream. Which is make some sort of career from doing the things that I love. Using my passion for YouTube, for entertainment, for beauty, fashion and lifestyle, as a way to help people. And I am making a promise not to give up on that dream.

Much Love,
Spenser xx
