Monthly Roundup | November 2016

by - December 02, 2016

I feel like I've FINALLY gotten some of my blogging mojo back and have spent the last few days brainstorming ideas and planning posts. And I am super excited to start back with regular posts on this blog and regular uploads on my YouTube channel as well! Also something you might have noticed is that I bit the bullet and purchased my domain name. Now Lifedispensed is officially mine!

Anyways, now that that little spiel is over with, let's get on with this post. With the month of December just starting (and boy am I excited about that, Christmas is on it's way folks! ), I figured now would be the perfect opportunity to do a little roundup of the previous month, and all the fun stuff I got up to. I have done something similar to this in the past, where I took pictures from my Instagram (be sure to follow me on there if you are not already) and gave a bit more detail about what those pictures mean to me, or the story behind them. So here we go, here is what I did in November:

I don't know about you guys, but November 1st is officially the start of Christmas celebrations for me. I'm Canadian, so our thanksgiving is long past, and there isn't really anything standing in the way of getting excited for the holidays. SO that means come the 1st, my Christmas playlist is on repeat, and I am a Christmas movie is on my TV.  I don't usually break out the decorations until at least the 2nd or 3rd week of the month, but once I'm ready, the spirit is alive. This year I dressed up my pup in his little elf costume (which I swear he loves just as much as I do!) and put up the decorations in my bedroom. I didn't do too much this year, but I do have a few bits and bobs and some lights on my bed. I even have my own little mini tree and I love it!

I got a chance to go to the Santa Claus Parade in my hometown this year, for the first time in maybe 8 or 9 years! Fun fact about me, I used to dance, and I used to be one of those girls dancing in the parade every year. I actually watched the parade with a few friends who I knew from those dance classes and we even remembered the choreography even after all this time! It was just a really nice thing to be able to do together, to go and watch the parade, see all the floats and reminisce about some of our childhood memories. I definitely think it'll be a new tradition to go every year and watch with friends. And now that we're older and of age, that tradition might have to include going for a drink at the local pup after!

I won't lie those last two pictures were taken on the same day, but I really like both of them, so they are both getting featured in this monthly roundup. Last weekend, which was the final weekend of the month, my parents and I went to a local Christmas tree farm and picked out a fresh wreath for our front door. I won't lie, we spent a bit of time getting them to change up the one we picked, because neither my mom, nor I were totally in love with it, but they were great sports and I think the final product is beautiful! I also was really loving my outfit that day and so of course I made my mom do a little mini photoshoot in our driveway before we hit the road.

And that's pretty much all the fun I got up to this month. Not the most exciting month I have ever had, but fun none the less and I enjoyed sharing it with you guys. I might try to make this a regular thing (though don't hold your breath because we all know I say that a lot).

Much Love,
Spenser xx
