The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Care First Impressions & Review

by - January 09, 2017

Happy Monday Babes,

I have been a fan of the tea tree range from The Body Shop for quite sometime, and was recently gifted a few of the products from that line for Christmas. So I thought I would give them a quick first impressions and review in case any of you guys were interested in trying them out! I don't have all of products, there are a fair few in the range, however the three I'm going to talk about are I believe either new or best sellers so I'm really excited to have gotten my hands on them!

Now I have pretty oily skin, and since I'm still young I am dealing with the odd acne breakout every now and then. So, tea tree oil is a great product for me to use, because it's going to help combat some of the skin oils that make me super shiny, and also help to kill off the bacteria that causes my acne.
I haven't been using the products for all that long, just a few weeks, however my first impression of the line is a very good one!

The 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub, Mask is one of the new products The Body Shop has added to the tea tree line, and it is said to purify your skin, and scrub out impurities through gentle exfoliation. I have only used it as a wash and a scrub so far, and I seriously love how clean it makes my skin feel. The scrub isn't harsh, and doesn't leave my face feeling dry once it's washed away. And I have a feeling that if you were looking for a quick 5-min mask to add to your weekly routine, that this would be the perfect one to leave your skin feeling refreshed and smooth!

The Tea Tree Pore Minimiser is a best seller, and it's not hard to figure out why. It's said to smooth, prime and mattify, while leaving the skin feeling fresh and pure and it does just that. A little goes a long with this product, as you only need a small amount to cover your t-zone, and your nose/chin (or really any areas that you feel need a little bit of smoothing out before foundation). It feels very light on your skin, and I found that in combination with my foundation, my pores definitely look less noticeable!

Finally we have the Blemish Fade Night Lotion, another best seller from the tea tree line. This is an overnight treatment for your skin, advertised as a light, non-oily lotion that sinks into your skin as you sleep. It has helped to improve the appearance of my skin, and old blemishes are slowly fading away. I am a really big fan of this particular product, and I would recommend it to all. Though tea tree products are generally recommended to those with oily, blemished skin, I would imagine that this would be a great skin clearing lotion to those with many different skin types, and even to those who may only get the odd pimple.

All in all I am excited to keep using these products, and I will definitely be picking up and trying more from the line. Big kudos to The Body Shop for creating a line, that is relatively affordable (with products ranging from $12.00 - $25.00 dollars) and actually works! I hope you guys have found this quick first impressions/review helpful and I really hope you try out a few of the product from the line!

Much Love,
Spenser xx
