10 Affirmations I Use To Get Out Of A Rut | The Comeback

by - Monday, April 16, 2018

Does it even surprise any of you that I've been on a blogging hiatus again? I know, I always disappear and then come crawling back to those who have actually stuck around, with my tail between my legs, asking for your forgiveness. But I do feel I owe you an apology. I'll never claim to be some superstar blogger with hundreds of followers, who are waiting on the edge of their seats to see what I have to say. But I know there are a couple of you (let's be honest, mostly my mom) who do read every post, and are interested in this blog. So to you I must say 'sorry'. It had been an awfully long time since I've even thought about writing a blog post, and that actually makes me really sad. Perhaps part of it is pure laziness. I reckon I got stuck in this kind of rut the last time I lived abroad, and worked as an au pair as well. My life is relatively boring- I get up and take the kids to school, and then do nothing during the day until I have to pick them up. And I really think that routine has gotten to me in the past couple of months. But I will say that a few weeks ago, I started to think about this social life I've kind of left behind. I've started brainstorming blog posts, and video ideas and pictures to take for Instagram, and it's made me feel a lot better. And since I know you guys know how much I love a little cheese, I'm going to share with you something cheesy I've been doing to help me get into that better mood.
Affirmations- lame and cheesy as they may seem, they actually kind of work. Well, for me at least. A couple of weeks ago I started writing down little affirmations, and positive thoughts about me, my life, and I (see what I did there...). And since they have truly helped to breakthrough my creative block , I thought I might share them with you guys. So here are ten affirmations I've been using to get out a rut.

Much Love,
Spenser xx
